My polls used to work fine for quite a while (couple months) when one day i realised i was getting no more votes on my polls although they were well advertised on my site.

So i decided to vote at one of my own polls and realised i get the following error:

I dont know if this is the cause of the problem but recently my web host upgraded their php to version 4.3.10 and i made them upgrade their Zend Optimizer to v2.5.7.

I dont see how the upgrade of php could have caused the problem though because advanced poll is supposed to work with PHP v 4.3.10.

Any suggestions anyone?

realrobley wrote:php files are very easy to create. You can use notepad and put the include the txt file. FTP it to your server, then change the .txt extention to .php. You can also just change a .htm to php will work fine.

Hey, I know very little about PHP, so I was hoping someone could help me with a simple problem Im having.

I'm testing my poll out and when you finish voting and show the results, I cant seem to get the color changed on the number of votes. (its bright red and really looks awful with my color theme)

Where do I go to change this text color? Ive managed to change everything else with html, etc...

My site has been victimized by some bastards who insert scripts like the one below, which practially render the GB unusable as the GB page only shows what their script is forcing it to show.
In the past when I got a similar attack, I got rid of the script by going to the book_data table & deleting it.
I was told to disable HTML codes, which I did & I also disabled AGB Codes.
This did not prevent the insertion of the script below or it showing.
What on earth does, in the General or other settings?
I also noted that the legitimate entries, which were affected by the script being entered as a Comment to them, somehow disappeared.
I tried to look in the script source code I retrieved rom the database of affected entries and dont find the original legitimate entries, with no trace of what could be the the original entry.
That leaves gaping spaces with oly the particulars of the legitmate Guest, but with none of their original entries.
I'm just wondering how this could happen!

Please advise on how to prevent this recurring scourge.

Hi people,

I'm running Advanced Poll (v2.03) and I want the comments to be viewed under the poll... Ik can only view them from the admin area... Do I need to "include" more files for this?

No I haven't put the counter files in my cgi-bin folder. I've just uploaded them like any other file or folder. My cgi-bin folder is empty.

Maybe someone/anyone can help me?

I'm using WS_FTP95 LE to upload my files.
To try & change the write permissions I have left clicked on thge folder named "pages" & then right clicked on it & a list of options appears - I click on chmod (UNIX) and a small box appears. I tick all the boxes to change to 777.

But then a message in red appears in the log window saying "550 could not change perms on pages: No such file or directory. ! Chmod failed. It may not be supported on remote host".

I have also tried to do this using ACE FTP 3 Freeware & I get the same message.

Can anyone help?? Please!!
