I'm new to using PHP etc on websites - previously just kept things very simple but thought I'd like to try PHP so chose to try to create a page with PNG Counter 1.0 on it.

I've followed your steps & in step 3 I decided to use flat files as I've never used MySQL.

I did step 4 but for Step 5 I do not know how to change the write permissions - or even what they are!!!

Please could you help me out. I use WS_FTP95 to upload my files.
It would be much appreciated.

When magic quotes are on, those lines aren't needed so you don't notice the bug.

The script has already looped the each($_POST). It's in the first lines of the admin.php.
You wrote the code better, but that doesn't solve the bug I found it on my server.

I have a problem when uploading pics.... they are not shown.

My server is a Windows. I have configured the config.inc.php changing those variables:

$GB_UPLOAD = "../../public/librovisor";
$GB_TMP = "../../public/librovisortmp";

I have tested that a public user can write in those folders... and they can. I have used a test utility given by my provider.
I have had to change into that directory public, because my provider only allow to have public access there inside (and all the folders under it)

When I see the URL of the pic that is not shown I get this:

http://www.vivaelpop.com/public/librovisortmp/img-1113810843.jpg

that is a valid URL... but there inside there is nothing.

Where could be the problem?.

You forgot to add the reset($_POST) function. You don't where the array pointer is. You have to use reset() if you want to traverse the array again using each.

I found this small error in the lib/admin.class.php.
If you have magic_quotes turned off, you can't update entries in the admin section if there is any single quote in any field.
Simply add this line

just after

and the problem is solved.

Just a quicky. I want to set up the comments option in advanced poll and when the popup loads Im now wondering were the email goes as no were in admin does it allow me to add the webmasters emaill addy.

Can someone tell me were to look. Im using the text file version.

Hello, first my englisch is not very good.

I have the poll system installed but now i need to have 5 polls on one
*.php page.

Thats not the problem but i need one vote button to vote the 5 polls at the same time.

does not take it as one vote, does take it for to much vote

HI everyone, I am having a problem installing guestbook 1.5 and although i browsed these forums i just cant find the answer i need. i installed the program, but when i try a test post or administrator login i get the following message:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

now i am not sure what the problem is exactly, but i suspect it is the "guestbook.pl" file, which is in the "cgi-bin" folder where it belongs. however the guestbook is still not functioning properly. i just dont know what to do at this point but tinker with the "guestbook.pl' file as much as i can without screwing things up too bad. can anyone help or has anyone gone through this before? let me know what i am doing wrong. thanks in advance.............
