The "view results" link doesn't work. It gives a 404 error.
Have a look at http://www.theforeigner-japan.com/polls/ and try the "view results" link. (all polls have been voted in).
Can anyone have any idea why it doesn't work?
Thanks,
Eelco

No.. It still says that.. I was just correcting myself in my post.. It still does that, but I stopped using it because I went to post-nuke and it has a polling system.. Although I preferred how this one handled it all better.

Hi, I'd like to make an archive page with the polls I've had so far, but it seems that if you've voted on one page, you can vote again if the poll is also on another page.
Is there anyway to carry the cookies block over between pages?
(I'm not sure if I'm making sense here...)

Those -did- both say schizoiv... This is why I should never let a friend do things for me

What does this mean?

My host supplied it and it was installed with Fantastico.
If I download it, do I just upload all files via FTP (except config.inc.php)?
I don't quite get why that should help but I will try it. Thanks.

Nope.
The only settings I changed are the ones in "styles".
As mentioned - it worked fine at the beginning. *clueless*

Yep, I double checked and all the codes are changed as per instructions but spam still getting through...I can post the codes here if you want to check them but they are right..

A look at the source code is confusing too .. it seems to not take any entries for name or message fields.

I have a strange problem - after installing and setting the colors etc. I tested the AG and all was fine. So I published.
However no name or message is displayed. I am not sure if it's the colors or another problem.
Picture upload was allowed and worked (I disabled that in the meantime). What I don't get is why it worked while testing but not now.
This is the URL: Guestbook 2.3.1

I'm using the non-DB version of Advanced Poll. I uploaded all the files and changed the permissions as instructed. When I go to the admin page I get this error:
Warning: Unknown(/user/htdocs/collegian/poll/admin/index.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in Unknown on line 0
Warning: (null)(): Failed opening '/user/htdocs/collegian/poll/admin/index.php' for inclusion (include_path='/user/rjidev/php_includes:.:/user/fresnorji/php_include') in Unknown on line 0
[/url]
Does anyone know what this means or how I can fix this?

I'm having the same problem. It just started recently and has happened twice now. Each time it clears up by itself. Here's what my error is:
MySQL Error : Connection Error
Error Number: 1040 Too many connections
Date : Tue, March 15, 2005 15:34:44
IP : 207.89.155.80
Browser : Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Referer :
PHP Version : 4.3.10
OS : Linux
Server : Apache/1.3.31 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4
PHP/4.3.10 FrontPage/5.0.2.2634a mod_ssl/2.8.19 OpenSSL/0.9.7d
I called my hosting service and they said it's a script error. I should be using a connect() not a pconnect().
I have no idea where in the code that call is made. But it was the same deal as described in a prior post. My hosting service said I have a 50,000 limit so it stops working for a while and then it clears up. I don't know if someone or a bot is hitting my guestbook, but my site does not get that much traffic so I'm very surprised to be getting anywhere close to a 50,000 queries number.
Any ideas?

According to the guestbook docs you can ban an IP block by just using 80
if you have an IP ban on 243.21., someone signing who has an IP of 243.21.3.44 will not be able to sign
