I today installed silver counter on my site and connect to mysql
database. It's working when I put this string:

into some test file.

So could you explain how to insert the counter into the phpbb forum.

I noticed that I'm using persistent mysql connections which is not really necessary I guess... anyway after the poll code I re-connected to my database using a non-persistent connction and it works fine now.

But number 2, it's not in the header either cuz each one says a different thing.

Like in the addentry, it says

Sign the Guestbook
Fill out the blanks below to sign the guestbook. After you submit your entry, you will be returned to the guestbook. The blanks with (*) represent required fields.

then in the admin.php it says
Guestbook - Administration
Guestbook - Administration Centre
Before you can proceed you have to enter a valid name and password!

then when you sign the guestbook and it goes to the transition page it says
Guestbook
Thank you for signing the guestbook
your entry was added successfuly! You should be transferred back to the guestbook in 2 seconds.

and on number 3, I meant like each individual field. Like the background color for it and the border for it and the size. The header only has fonts!

I also have afew other questions!
1. when someone puts their location, it goes to the next line, where do I have to go to make it go in front of Location

2. In the add entry page, how can I change the head of the page? I looked in the addentry.php, but it wasn't there!

3. Also in the add entry page, how can I add css to the fields (I think that's what it's called). You know, the place where people fill in the blanks.

4. Also, is there anyway to add space between each entry?

if I put the poll at the bottom of the php page (after all the other code) it won't affect the code. The problem is that after the poll code everything refers to the polls db and not my other database so of course the queries won't work anymore. How can I link it back to the original database after the poll code? I have a "mysql_select_db("up");" statement at the beginning of the new php part but I guess that is not enough. because it will still say that "Table 'uppoll.Places' doesn't exist" where it should be "up.Places"

My php knowledge is limited so if someone knows how to refer back to my original db that would be great

Hi, I just had the guestbook installed and I was wondering if you guys can help me with something. I want to customize it tottaly, like I want to put an image at the top and take off the "sign the guestbook" image and the big GUESTBOOK on the upper left hand.

I tried to go to the templates and edit it but I couldn't find where I could do thsoe things.

May be you could say how insert to phpbb the counter with database.
Because I have installed it on the server with his own database and demo.php is working fine there. But I couldn't manage to insert it to the forum.
Everything I did. like I made it with flat file but it didn't work.

yeah i was able to log in, but as soon as i click on anything, like smilies or something it puts me back to the log in screen. and yeah i filled config.inc.php just like i did with 2.3.1/2

so i'm trying to clean install lazarus and when i try to open insall.php it says:
